Lessons & Training

Regular lessons are ideal for those looking to:

• Support their horse in mind, body, and spirit
• Improve timing and understanding of their aids to be a more effective rider
• Develop better awareness and ability to "hear" horses
• Increase stability and enjoy the benefits of having an independent seat & hands
• Challenge themself and their horse to fun and engaging obstacle work 
• Create a positive trailering/hauling experience for young/inexperienced horses or horses with negative hauling experiences
• Find a supportive community of like-minded students
• Have more fun with their horse! 

Lessons subscriptions are available to boarders of Graymar Farm and local owners who wish to haul in. Off site lessons are limited and only available on a case by case basis, read below about clinics to see if they could be a fit for you.

Clinics

Melissa is available for clinics at the facility of your choice. Clinics are ideal for smaller groups of riders looking for a weekend of improving skills and enjoying the camaraderie of learning alongside their friends and barn mates. 

Clinics are most often conducted in private or semi-private lesson format, and include either an in-person or Zoom meeting the evening before lessons to establish a baseline of knowledge that will accelerate learning the following day(s). These pre-clinic meetings also provide a wonderful "get to know you" moment for Melissa and each participant so that lesson content can be as relevant to each rider as possible.
